One to One Singing Lessons in Brighton Sussex

Singing lessons are held in Brighton, Sussex. Singing lessons with me are for any age and any level of ability, including beginners and professionals! I cover pop, rock, funk, soul, country, jazz, blues, musical theatre and some folk and traditional songs.

Do you want to be able to belt out your favourite tunes accurately, with control and without strain?  Would you like to understand and see how your voice works?  Do you want to be able to improve your breath control? Would you like more vocal flexibility and be able to sing licks and embellishments just like a pro?  Do you want to develop your aural awareness and musical vocabulary?  Would you like to be able to sing in more than one style using the appropriate voice qualities?  Are you confused about your break and not sure how to negotiate it?  Do you want your own unique individuality to be encouraged?  Would you like to be able to sing through nerves?  If the answer is yes, you ready to become a vocal athlete!  Using the same mental, physical and emotional techniques as people at the top of their game, sessions with me will get you from where you are to where you want to be quickly!

My approach to singing is based on the scientific fact that everything is energy.  The human voice is not exempt from this. Singing naturally is about using natural human emotions to make sounds that can carry your voice to the next level.  This takes courage, but if you are willing to 'go there', your confidence will go through the roof.  A lot of your development will consist of stepping outside of what social conditioning has lead you to think a beautiful voice is. By accepting and expressing your voice whether you think it is beautiful or not will be your greatest challenge!  However,
When you do this, your individuality is revealed and since you are not trying to please anyone, the voice takes on a dimension of it’s own that no amount of technique can achieve.  When you reach this point you realise that perfectionism creates sterility and freedom creates magic. You probably sang as a child and thus have it hard wired into your brain circuitry. Our job is to incorporate the dimension of the imagination as a distraction to help you avoid ‘pushing to sing’ and give you direct access to the voice that you were born with. This coupled with techniques based on physiological fact used by professionals makes my coaching sessions very powerful and transformative.

In my experience, you cannot separate singing from the singer and therefore when you embark on the journey of singing, it will always uncover the truth about yourself.
